Our first accolade in quite some time.

On July 8th, we were selected to the Maumee Film Fest! The festival runs September 24-26, 2025 and we will be there!

And then, we won some 48 Hour Film Program Awards!

Two days later, we watched the online awards ceremony with some awe as we won the very first award given: Best Writing. Two more wins followed for Best Sound Design and Best use of Character.

Finally, we received third place in the Best Film award.

Much better…

It was pretty gratifying to win, well, anything, really after the 2-year shutout.

That said, we really thought we had a top-2 film with a shot at Best Film. The judges thought otherwise. And the audience  did, too, because the same film (The Spotlight) won both Best Film and the Audience Choice award. It was a good film to be sure, but winning 9 of 17 Award Categories?

We did take home the second highest award total (4). Two other films received three each. And that’s it: Only four teams received awards out of the 13 that were nominated.

What’s Next?

Great question! We don’t know.

We submitted to a few festivals and we’ll be attending the Maumee Film Festival in September. We’ll go to the others if selected, but making another film will have to wait until 2026.
