The short film Instant Camera was completed on December 23rd, in time for the “World Premiere”, which was really just the “friends and family showing” for those involved in the project. The guest list included nearly all of the cast and crew and many their family members. The film was screened twice to accommodate all who where present. Most watched the film twice.
A new poster was created for the completion of the film (which can be seen here!) and printed posters were given to the primary cast members and our composer, Dave Poole.
We brought out the Polaroid SX-70 that was used in the film, coupled with an original, vintage flash bar (thanks, Amazon!) and took some incredibly poor-quality snaps as you can see below. Clearly, the faked photos that appear in the film are of a much higher quality that would be possible IRL.
Many thanks again to everyone that participated in creating this film. Now we’ll enter it in a couple of small film festivals and see where it goes.
Here are a few actual Polaroid photos taken at the “World Premiere”.
